That means all of your devices will be detected and configured as soon as they are connected.

The hub also allows you to "hot attach/detach" devices, giving you the flexibility of adding or removing devices at any time, without having to power down or reboot your system. The ExpressBus is either self-powered or bus-powered, an important option when using multiple hubs or power hungry USB devices. All the software necessary to take full advantage of USB power is built right into Windows 98.

If you have an older Mac with USB ports, this is the perfect hub. It uses the built-in software in the Mac OS. Requires Mac OS 8.1 or higher
